BearingPoint Caribbean is pleased to announce the Go-Live of the portal for the Anguilla Inland Revenue Department (IRD). The portal provides a one-stop self-service desk that revolutionizes the way taxpayers interact and do business with the IRD.
In 2019, BearingPoint Caribbean was awarded two projects by the Government of Anguilla. The objective of the projects was to implement two systems: the Multi Tax Solution for the IRD and the Multi Benefit Solution for the Social Security Board of Anguilla. As a regional leader in IT solutions for governments, BearingPoint Caribbean was tasked to integrate business processes across operations within both organizations and to streamline the delivery of service.
The IRD online portal is the second big launch for the IRD (the first being the first installment of the back office system) and is consistent with its strategic plan to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IRD operations. The portal simplifies processes and encourages voluntary compliance of the taxpayers. It is initially launched for a smaller group of taxpayers; later this year the general public will receive access. From then on, citizens and businesses can view and update their personal and account information, view current tax obligations, file taxes for Interim Stabilization Levy (ISL), or apply for Business Licenses. By the end of the year, online tax payments will also become available in the portal, which is a first for the Caribbean nation, making the IRD services easily accessible.
SSB launch
The SSB will launch the first installment of the back office system of the Multi Benefit Solution (MBS) and the online portal at the beginning of 2022. BearingPoint Caribbean has developed the registration module, costumer accounts, and generic components such as the administering of incoming and outgoing correspondence. This allows the SSB to have the administration of persons in one central registration for the first time, with the ability to do a cross reference check of all particulars of a person in real-time, when necessary.

Public Services Suite
The IRD and SSB of Anguilla make use of BearingPoint Caribbean’s Public Services Suite, a suite of IT solutions that are built to transform end-to-end government processes. The IT solutions are able to provide a unique 360-degree single unified view of the citizen. The Public Services Suite offers simple and seamless interactions by connecting processes and services in the tax, social security, and permits & licensing domains.
The Public Services Suite allows the Government of Anguilla to lay the foundation for further digitalization of its government services, in addition to generating efficiency by streamlining processes across organizations. In the nearby future, the IT solutions of the IRD and SSB will be able to offer one-time registration and immediate validation of data, while enabling both organizations to provide excellent online service to the public at a lower cost of operations. The implementation of these IT solutions helps to achieve a higher level of compliance.
